We wish we have stayed longer!
Don’t be put off by the distance of the accommodation from Takahara. The guest house was beautiful and location was perfect for me and my niece. It was a separate building and we have the room at the main flour with another guests. It’s so quiet and serene. I booked the accommodation and added the meals few weeks before we arrived. The meals were amazing! The lunch box the owner prepared for us was enough for our longer hike to Chikatsuyu on the next day. I highly recommend this guest house.

Thank you for an amazing experience and going above and beyond. Did not realise that i had left some items behind. These had been delivered at my next night s accomodation with some dessert treats, waiting for me to arrive.

The location was not the best, we walked from Takajiri to Takahara and then stayed closer to Takajiri than Takahara, but the host picked us up and dropped us off the next day so all in all it was a goof alternative option because there was nothing available closer to Takahara.

Great start to the trail!
Hiroki and Naoko were both very friendly and welcoming. They have a gorgeous property and were kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the trail since it's not right on the route. Definitely the best meal I had on the trail! Very glad I stayed here - a great place to stay the day before starting the trail too.
