Wonderful hosts, amazing meal, highly recommended
We had the most wonderful time at Guest House Kiyohime. Thank you to our hosts for the perfect first night on the Kumano Kodo! After a fairly steep hike that afternoon, it was so lovely after our shower to be greeted by the most sumptuous meal prepared by our hosts! We also had such good conversations in their comfortable dinner room. Breakfast was equally delicious and the best surprise was opening our lunch pack after a long morning hike to a substantial meal in our Bento box! I will look back on this place lovingly! For location, our host was very attentive in communicating with us and picking us up from the Takahara rest stop on the first day.

The best place to stay
This was the best accommodation of our kumano kodo adventure. Hiroki and Nakao were very kind and their hospitality was incredible. The food that they prepared was incredibly delicious. Thank you for everything!

The host were very nice and the meals amongst the best we had in Japan (including the lunch) The location was disappointing as it was before our departing point after a day of walk but this was compensated by a very warm welcome and wonderful meals

Guest House Kiyohime Review
Had an amazing stay with Hiroki & Naoko on our first night of the Kumano Kodo! A shuttle picked us up at the Takahara Rest Area and drove us back to their lovely guest home. The meals provided were some of the best food we ate on the entire trek. The next morning after a delicious breakfast they drove us back to the Rest Area so we could continue our hike. Would highly recommend Guest House Kiyohime!
