Convenient and affordable. A good option in Kii-Katsuura, right next to the train station. We didn't meet any hosts as it was self-service. The two bedrooms are a bit difficult to access at the top of the building, so if you have very heavy bags it might not be an ideal option for you. It worked well for us though, and I'd happily stay again. The proximity to the station was appreciated in the morning as there was torrential rain. I highly recommend checking out the cave onsens (e.g. Spa Genbudo) at Hotel Urushima, accessed via shuttle boat. We had dinner at Yagumo - the omakase was fantastic.

The accommodation was clean and very convenient for onward travel from Katsuura.

Shared bathroom and toilet. Clean room and nice thick futon. Location is very strategic.

Good spot to stay at the end of the trail - close to train station and right in town. No host or meals since it's self-check in but was good for one night before taking the train.

Convenient and modern
Comfortable and modern room that’s a far cry from the old charm of some other stays on the route. However, the location and self check in are very convenient and after a long day of walking I did enjoy this accommodation where everything functioned impeccably.

WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 SATR IF IT IS AVAILABLE
THE LOCATION IS GOOD , CLOSE TO TRAIN STATION AND RESTURANTS. IT IS SELF CHECK IN SO NO CONTACT WITH THE OWNERS. THE ROOM IS NOT CLEAN. I DON'T THINK THE OWNER CHANGES BED SHEETS AFTER THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMER'S USE BECAUSE WE FOUND MULTIPLE BODY HAIRS IN BED SHEETS AND ON PILLOW CASE. CONCERNED ABOUT HYGIENE, MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED TO WEAR OUR CLOTHES TO BED. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
