Wow, fantastic trip.
Everything was planned to perfection. Nothing was left out. Well booked a six day intermediate trip on the Nakahechi Route. From lodging to bus schedules to food, everything was spelled out clearly.

Once in a lifetime experience
I cannot express how much fun this experience was. The hotels and guesthouses were top notch. The food was amazing. Everything about the trip was well thought out and put together so well. Thank you for such an amazing time!

Exceeding our expectation
We were a bit concerned it’s not a guided walk but the way the tour was organized was so well planned, lots of information provided at the pre tour meeting and the print outs given to us. The accommodations were all excellent choices. We particularly like how they use all the local establishments where possible. All the public transport were prepaid which really helped getting on and off the buses. Shu and Mike were so detailed in explaining about the festival, they carried extra water for everyone in their backpack, very thoughtful. Best of all, we met a group of fantastic people and connected with them. We feel so privilege to complete the ancient pilgrim trail in Kumano Kudo.

Nachahechi Route
I had one week to walk with my 3 adult children on the kumano kodo. The Kumano travel put together a package tour for us to walk from the trail head in Tanabe to the Nachi Taisha. Our accommodations ranged from simple pilgrim stay, a sena oyada and 2 hotels with onsen. Our favorite stay was the sena oyada in Chikatusyu. The hostess was very friendly and the meal and bonito were typical of that prefecture. I trusted the Tanabe tour office and they provided a perfect package for 4 adults.

Excellent
I felt like all I had to do was wake up and enjoy the pilgrimage! Our lodging, luggage, food, route planning, and transportation were all taken care of spectacularly. Would definitely like to book another package in the future.

Kumano bliss
My daughter and I have just completed the kumano kodo booked through Kumano travel and has the most wonderful time. The trail and scenery are spectacular and the accomodation was traditional and hospitable. We had a a layover at Kuwara Onsen and that was amazing. Itinerary was easy to follow and trail maps great. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and unique experience
My husband and I had a great time- the itinerary was excellent and we really enjoyed every day. We especially loved the luggage shuttle service, bus passes, and taxi arranged for us, which would have been hard to organize ourselves. We are definitely recommending this to our family and friends and hope to return someday. Thank you Kumano travel!

Hola. Mis padres y yo estamos contentos con cómo fue todo pero hubo un alojamiento que no nos gustó nada. Había muy poca comida y la poca bebida que había la teníamos que pagar aparte, por lo que no creo que sea justo después de pagar el paquete. Aparte de eso, tampoco había ningún tipo de herramienta de higiene como cepillos, cuchilla de afeitar, peines ni nada. Y el trato tampoco fue amable como en el resto de los alojamientos. Ese día no estuvimos a gusto. El resto nos encantó. Un saludo.

There are a variety of types of stays along the Kumano Kodo, including rental homes with limited toiletries that are normally included in hotel style type of facilities.
