Disappointed stay
This is the worst accommodation provided for the whole stay. We are very disappointed with the money paid for the package and in return getting this accommodation quality. Honestly, this minshuku should not be on the list if you are catering for foreign travelers. - Bedding and pillow are super thin, comforter is hard like a piece of plastic cover, making noises when you toss around. Unacceptable. We hardly can sleep that night. - Sound proof for the room / accommodation was poor. You can hear people talking and walking around the whole night. - Bath rooms is tiny and can only fit two people. There is always a queue and we have to wait for over 30mins, not enough when you have a full house of guests. We are also not allowed to use the bath in the morning. - Meals provided were below standard, we had a lot of left over dishes. This accommodation arrangement is spoiling our whole trip.

Small hotel close to the station. The rooms are nice and clean. Bath and onsen in the 1st floor and shared toilet and sink (men and women) on the 2st floor

A taste of Kii-Katsuura
The Onsen Minshuku Kosayaka provided a more local experience than the other lodging facilities we stayed at on the Kumano Kodo. The rooms were spare with just thin shikibutons on tatami mats but the air conditioning worked well and it was quiet. The bathroom, only a single facility for both men and women, was clean. The dinner was a cornucopia of seafood - fresh sashimi, broiled, fried, and pickled fishes with local tuna being featured. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast featuring local fish. The staff were more business-like and less friendly and welcoming than other places along the Kumano Kodo.

Nice location with good baths and onsen, rooms are really small, vegetarian food was not good, only a few warmed up vegetables.

寝具が本当に寝苦しかったです。
初めて布団や枕のカバーにこれほど肌触りの粗い素材が使われているのに出会いました。本当に寝苦しかったです。 おまけに夜中にカニが部屋に入ってきて、とても怖かったです。 夕食の料理は少し雑に感じられました。魚料理が多すぎる上、すでに冷めていたため、食べるのが少しきつかったです。

A nice stay
Compared to the other places we stayed at this trip this was a normal hotel, which it is. The personnel are kind and industrious. The food was great, and the portion sizes generous. They didn’t mind us all being heavily tattooed when using their bath. It was a perfectly normal stay, thank you
