Onsen Minshuku Wadama

Loved our stay here for 2 nights. Lovely host who prepared amazing fresh meals. Bed was warm and cosy. Large spacious Japanese style room. Clean bathroom facilities (shared with other guests) with private onsen. Right on the trail in Yunomine Onsen

Simple, affordable accommodation

Very simple accommodation. It's got a simple shared indoor onsen that does its job. The owner speaks little English but will help you however he can. The vegan meals are plentiful, which some delicious dishes, others not so much. Can be hard to find especially if arriving after dark.

Older property, huge room. Clean & tidy. Large bathroom/toilet area but no heating & water was cold. Onsen area was large & well set up & had a heater. The sink seemed to have cold water only. The onsen itself had a low & high setting for the shower hose so it was possible to have a 'western style' shower. The onsen temperature was warm to hot but wasn't as hot as most onsens. The food was nice but not fabulous. There was plenty of it.

Lovely accomodation with onsen!

Lovely Japanese house and old post office homestay. The host was such a kind man and showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were so beautiful with traditional Japanese flooring, doors and furniture. The place was very warm, clean and comfortable for our stay. The meals provided were homemade and delicious! Very nurturing food after such a long day. The highlight was the onsen in the accomodation. The perfect way to recover and relax after a long day of walking!

Room and bedding were great. Loved the low heated table. Dinner was the best of the 3 guesthouses we stayed in. If I'm not mistaken, the guest house meals were described as vegan on the KK reservation site. But I don't think the meals were. I was happy with that. Again, the food was excellent.

Nice B&B

We had a big room, with nets over the futons. We didn’t go to the onsen in town but it looked brand new. The food was plentiful, with a good vegetable curry.

Housewarming welcome

The place is perfectly located, very close to the bus stop. Right in the heart of Yunomine. Dinner, as vegan was perfect: curry with rice which was delicious. If you're vegan or don't eat any fish or meat, I recommend you to buy some extra protein like tofu bars for breakfast or lunch. For breakfast I only got a bagel and some fruit. Bagel was amazing, handmade from a japanese lady, but not enough for all the calories I needed to burn that day. The idea of the private onsen is nice, but the water wasn't hot enough. If you feel you need more food, you can buy it at the beggining of the next walk. There's a convenience store right in the traffic light.
