いい宿でした！
翌日に本宮までのロングトレイルを予定している方にはとても良い宿だと思います。 貸切宿なので翌日に向けてゆっくり休めますし、おかみさんもとても感じのいい人でした。 一点だけ、小学6年の娘には晩御飯のスープカレーが辛くて食べられなかったので、辛いものが苦手な方向けのメニュー確認があると有り難いなと思いました。なお、カレー好きな私には最高の夕食だったので辛いものが苦手でなければオススメです。 そのほか、茶菓子やドリンクのサービス、アメニティなんかも充実しています。

I was able to find the house using Google Earth. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We communicated mostly using Google Translate. Dinner and breakfast were great - lots of food. The lunch box she made was very filling and delicious. I was able to do my laundry, which was very helpful and appreciated. I was told to help myself to the fridge, which was filled with various types of drinks and lots of snacks. The futon I slept on was very comfortable.

Lovely home & meal!
An amazing stay in Chikatsuyu. Host was very gracious and accommodated an earlier than planned arrival time. In addition, she made us a very early breakfast at 6am so that we could leave by 7am to walk all the way to Hongu. Everything in the home was wonderful. The food was delicious and the perfect portion size.

Absolutely wonderful home, food, and host!
I LOVED Oyado Sena and recommend it very highly. It was my favorite place that I stayed on my entire trip by far. It's in a classic Japanese house that is nicely renovated and has a great combination of classic (tatami mats and sliding wood/paper doors) and modern (fancy massage chair) features. The guest rooms are extremely spacious. I was solo, but there would have been plenty of space for a family with kids. There were lots of unexpected perks, like complimentary fruit, drinks, treats, and little omiyage to take home. All of the meals were wonderful, with plenty of delicious food (and I'm a big eater). The host is equally wonderful. She is very kind, interested in meeting people, and responsive/helpful with requests and questions. One note -- I recommend printing out a map showing where Oyado Sena is located. Since it opened relatively recently, there isn't road signage pointing visitors to its location. It's up a little hill and has a beautiful view over the town. Overall, I can't say enough positive things about Oyado Sena!

Wonderful experience.
Despite not being located directly on the Kumano Kodo path, the accommodation offered a remarkably cozy and homey environment. Perched at a higher altitude, the village provided breathtaking views and excellent sightseeing opportunities. For dinner, they served a flavorful soup curry featuring chicken and vegetables. This was complemented by a simple yet satisfying breakfast and a convenient lunch box. The hosts were wonderfully generous and welcoming, making our entire experience truly memorable.
