Kumano Kodo Shuttle Service (Luggage Shuttle)


This luggage shuttle service is a convenient way to send your luggage from Tanabe to your accommodation inHongu area, including the hot spring villages of Kawayu Onsen, Yunomine Onsen, and Wataze Onsen.

★Service Availability★
Luggage shuttle service is unavailable from certain accommodations, mostly in the Tanabe city area. 
Please check the webpage of your desired accommodation on KUMANO TRAVEL before booking the luggage shuttle service. 

If you book an accommodation where transport is unavailable, you will be contacted about alternative arrangements for your luggage.

A wooden tag will be attached to your shipped luggage by Kumano Kodo Shuttle with all of your destination and identification information in Japanese.
Please do not remove the tag to ensure safe delivery of your bags. Thanks for your understanding.

● No refunds provided if guests do not meet service provider at the designated time and location.

● No refunds provided if the number of pieces of luggage is decreased or the route is shortened after 17:00 the day before.

● An extra fee will be charged if the number of pieces of luggage is increased or the distance of delivery increased.

● Due to reservation changes, if it is not possible to arrange transport with the same provider, arrangements will be made with a different provider. In this case, the first reservation will be cancelled and refunded, and the fixed cancellation fee will be charged if it applies. Then the new arrangement will be processed as a new reservation.
    ■ Pick-up and delivery are limited to accommodations booked ONLY via the KUMANO TRAVEL Community Reservation System in order to prevent problems such as accommodations refusing to accept luggage or loss in transit due to miscommunication.

    ■ Daily luggage shuttle service needs to be booked at least 10 days in advance.
    【JR Kii-Tanabe Station】
    ■ Luggage is collected from in front of Tanabe Tourist Information Center next to JR Kii-Tanabe Station. 
    ■ Tanabe Tourist Information Center doesn't run this luggage shuttle service. It is not possible to keep luggage at the center.
    Tanabe Tourist Information Center is only a meeting point for you and the carrie. The carrier will take luggage directly from the customer.
    ■ Luggage pick-up reception hours  7:45 and 12:15
    While filling out your application, select time in the "Pick-up Time" section. 
    Other pick-up times can be arranged but the carrier may not be able to take your request.
    【Accommodations in Tanabe】
    ■ Please leave your luggage at the accommodation at check-out.
    ■ Luggage pick-up reception open until 10:00 
    ■ While filling out your application, select "By 10:00, Tanabe Accommodation" in the Pick-up Time section. 
    ■ Please be sure to attach a tag containing your name, phone number and email address to your luggage.
    ■ Put everything inside your bag and DO NOT attach anything, such as umbrellas or plastic bags.

    ■ Additional fees may be charged to luggage not satisfying these conditions.
