Ryujin Bus is a local transportation company. Their luggage shuttle service is from Tanabe accommodation (some exclutions) to accommodations in Takijiri, Takahara, Chikatsuyu, Nonaka and the Hongu area (Yunomine Onsen, Kawayu Onsen, Watarase Onsen, Hongu).
If departure from Kii-Tanabe station is on an early bus luggage pick-up is from accommodations .

Luggage shuttle
The staff at the Kumano Travel Shop kindly changed this booking at short notice so we could transfer our bags to Takahara and then from Takahara to Chikatsuyu/Nonoka the next day, thus saving us carrying as much in our day packs. I had thought we would carry one change of clothing etc but we were really glad we changed the booking and had to carry less.

A very convenient service, but at a non-negligible price.
It is very comfortable to have the luggage transferred from one accommodation to the next. But the price is rather high (more than 5000 Yen per day), and it should be considered as a luxury, especially for those travelling over several days.

● Due to reservation changes, if it is not possible to arrange transport with the same provider, arrangements will be made with a different provider. In this case, the first reservation will be cancelled and refunded, and the fixed cancellation fee will be charged if it applies. Then the new arrangement will be processed as a new reservation.
