The price for sending one piece of luggage is a bit high, but if you have multiple pieces of luggage, it is still highly recommended (it will be more cost-effective). Some were very responsible in receiving the luggage from the station, while others delivered it on time in perfect condition.

We met at Takijiri-oji as planned - the van was waiting right at the bus stop, which was super helpful. Our bags were then picked up and delivered as scheduled, and treated with care. We had four transfers in total, and no problems at all. I highly recommend Torii! Thank you :)

Very reliable and very reputable
Thank you for the service. We made an appointment to meet at the station at 6:00 on the day of our departure from Tanabe City. It was still very dark and there was no one around the station, but the shuttle bus people was already there waiting for us at the station very early, even earlier than us. It was impressive and we are grateful to that.

Excellent trip
We had a magical trip. The hiking was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at a variety of accommodations and enjoyed them all. We enjoyed the food and had no difficulty following the trail. We followed a suggested itinerary, 5 days, 4 night Nakahechi route. We had no difficulty with bus transportation when needed. We had our luggage transported and our bags arrived safely at our destination.

So we left our bags at Yunomine, never saw the people who picked up the bags as we had already set off on our trek. When we arrived in our hotel in Shingu the bags were in our room. Could not fault the service. 100% recommend!!!

We booked luggage transfer with Torii for 2 separate routes (from Tanabe to Kawayu, Kawayu to Shingu) for 4 baggages. Our baggages were handled with care and arrived promptly at our hotels. A pleasant highlight is the little Kumano Kodo wooden plaque that comes on our baggage- that’s our favorite souvenir from this trip!

We had 5 peoples luggage to transfer over 5 days of travel. We never met the transport people however their communication via their luggage tags covered all we needed and we could make contact if we needed. The service was exceptionally easy and efficient. Luggage Shuttle Service
We could not have done this trip without the luggage shuttle service and were very appreciative that it was offered. The luggage transfer was great and I would have given it a 5 star rating, but we were a little unsure about leaving our luggage the first time because we had not seen or knew for sure that a luggage tag had been prepared with all the information required ? such as our name and where it was to be delivered. When we received our luggage at our destination, we could see (for the first time ) that it was well marked and we had nothing to worry about.

Our luggage arrived before we did, definitely recommended if you have a heavy bag you don't need to carry during a hike. A nice touch was the lovely wooden tags with the three-legged crow symbol of the Kumano area.

Super reliable service
We hiked the Nakahechi trail from Takajiri to Nachisan. We reserved the Ogumotori-goe luggage transfer service for the last leg of our trip between Koguchi and Nachisan. In addition, at Ryokan Yunomineso, our alternate plan to shuttle luggage to Koguchi fell through at the last minute. Ogumotori-goe graciously accommodated our last minute request. The cost is per bag, regardless of the size of the bag, so if it pays to consolidate your stuff into the minimal number of bags possible. The bags were waiting for us on arrival. They even included a nice souvenir tag.
