Without a doubt the highlight of the Kumano Kodo
I usually don't leave reviews but knew I had to once I had been here. This was for me the best place I stayed at on the Kumano Kodo. It's a little away from Yunomine but a far nicer town with a gorgeous river and lovely outdoor onsen. The hostess was incredible. She was so kind and happy to help in any way she could and the locally caught fish and handmade cookies she gave me really showed a personal touch. The room was lovely and I felt comfortable the whole time. I cannot recommend coming here instead of Yunomine enough as I much preferred the picturesque town to Yunomine's cramped streets. Thank you so much for all of the extra effort you put in, it really went a long way!

Awesome views
We fell asleep to the sound of the rushing river. Got a delicious lunch and dinner and a few cookies for the trail the next day! The owner was so kind and thoughtful. The onsens are amazing and can be private if you are a couple traveling together.

We had a comfortable stay at Minshuku Yunosato and felt very at home and welcomed, thanks to our friendly host. We enjoyed the lovely dinner and both the indoor and outdoor baths.

A very welcoming guesthouse
We found this guesthouse very welcoming! It had everything we needed and the dinner and breakfast were delicious! We particularly enjoyed the possibility to have a private onsen.
