We had a wonderful stay at OldTrail Guesthouse in Nonoka
Denis and his wife were incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuine from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality and spontaneous friendliness made us feel at home immediately. The guesthouse is brand new, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is surrounded by breathtaking nature, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the Kumano Kodo. Dinner and breakfast were both absolutely delicious, carefully prepared with great attention to detail. Every part of our stay reflected the care and passion of our hosts. We highly recommend OldTrail to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and authentic place to stay while exploring the Kumano Kodo. Thank you, Denis and your wife, for making our stay so memorable. We hope to come back one day!

I would never ever book this accomadation. Too expensive and very unfriendly hosts. They were also argumenting each other. My sleeping room was only separated from the hosts sleeping room by a thin wall. I also heared the cat during night time. I was happy with all the other accomodations on my 14 days pilgrimage.

Pels 32000 tens que hi pagat em sento estafat, el menjar mediocre i molt poca quantitat,les begudes extremadament cares. L'habitació un futon i res me,no em vaig poder dutxar,no tenia internet, crec que l'organització hauria de supervisar els llocs que recomana, controlar la relació qualitat preu i no permetre que passin aquestes coses, he pagat molts diners per aquest desastre i evidentment estic molt enfadat i NO HO RECOMANO, per cortesia m' abstindre de dir el que penso dels propietaris,podria ser maleducat.

The guesthouse is perfectly placed along the road. It's run by a sweet couple that were very friendly and accommodating, providing both good food and good conversation. You share the house with them but we felt we were able to retreat to our room for privacy and go out and have a nice chat as we wanted. The accommodation itself was very clean and tidy.
