A taste of Kii-Katsuura
The Onsen Minshuku Kosayaka provided a more local experience than the other lodging facilities we stayed at on the Kumano Kodo. The rooms were spare with just thin shikibutons on tatami mats but the air conditioning worked well and it was quiet. The bathroom, only a single facility for both men and women, was clean. The dinner was a cornucopia of seafood - fresh sashimi, broiled, fried, and pickled fishes with local tuna being featured. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast featuring local fish. The staff were more business-like and less friendly and welcoming than other places along the Kumano Kodo.

Vegetarian food not too good
Nice location with good baths and onsen, rooms are really small, vegetarian food was not good, only a few warmed up vegetables.

寝具が本当に寝苦しかったです。
初めて布団や枕のカバーにこれほど肌触りの粗い素材が使われているのに出会いました。本当に寝苦しかったです。 おまけに夜中にカニが部屋に入ってきて、とても怖かったです。 夕食の料理は少し雑に感じられました。魚料理が多すぎる上、すでに冷めていたため、食べるのが少しきつかったです。

A nice stay
Compared to the other places we stayed at this trip this was a normal hotel, which it is. The personnel are kind and industrious. The food was great, and the portion sizes generous. They didn’t mind us all being heavily tattooed when using their bath. It was a perfectly normal stay, thank you
