Excellent stay
Host Aki was friendly and prepared excellent food. Will love to stay at her place again whenever we are in the area.

A lovely, traditional place to stay. I had the whole house to myself. The hostess was very friendly; she speaks a bit of English and picked me up from the Kumano Pilgrimage Trail after I’d contacted her via WhatsApp. (So you don’t need to ring from a phone box ; ) The food was ordered from a catering service – but everything was prepared with great care.

Lovely place to stay, lovely host
We stayed in our classical Japanese room that was spacious and enjoyable The host, this was charming and very accommodating It was a little off the trail, but she drove us in both directions

An aged home with character
I absolutely love this 80-year-old house, with its charming wood-fired hot bath. The host is very kind and makes your stay extremely comfortable.

Kominka Guest House Noko Noko
Aki was a fantastic host - very kind and welcoming. The lunch box was way more food than we needed. It was heavy and bulky to carry in our packs. The information provided that the host does not speak much English, but Aki does speak English fluently.

Kominka guest house was clean and spacious. The food was lovely and the arrangements were clear.
