Ryokan style cottage with gorgeous river view
Modern cottage with lots of space and possibility for drying your hiking gear when wet. The futons were quite thin. Dinner was very tasty and well prepared, but cold, and hungry hikers might want to eat a little bit more. Breakfast was a deception, a piece of toast with a quarter banana and cold coffee. Anything else needed to be paid for.

Lovely accommodation in lovely village
Our apartment unit was modern, clean and bright and conveniently located near the Kumano Kodo trail in the charming village of Chikatsuyu. Our meals were delicious. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay!
The room was lovely and quite spacious, and had nice garden scenery through the large windows. The hosts were very kind and thoughtfully delivered a nice meal for supper. Breakfast was also very nice although it was a different venue to the accommodation. The accommodation is a little bit the wrong way to the direction of the Kumano Kodo but not too far to go. The breakfast venue was right near the trail so that worked quite well at least. Thank you I enjoyed my stay!

The facility was well equipped with a much needed washing machine to wash our sweat soaked clothes after the long walk. Great view too. Thank YOU to the friendly owner/ manager for coming forward to welcome us! The couple at the breakfast place was pleasant and helpful too. Thank you for our pleasant stay and great food!

Excelent lodging service, 100% worth the price
Excelent place to rest after a long hiking day. Despite arriving to the place by accident as a consequence of our late booking -and consequent unavailability of more economical options-, we were amazed by the comfort and quality of the amenities. Definitely worth the price and would recommend it again.

Home away from home
This is our favorite stop on the trail. The place was perfect and surprisingly large. We were able to get in early as we arrived ahead of schedule. The host was gracious and provided excellent information. The food was good and breakfast was close by at a different location. The town was quaint and provided a wonderful break to the usual city environment.

Not bad at all
Not a particularly friendly place to stay, but the rooms were great. Big, comfy, and with laundry!
