Hotel Charmant - Kii Katsuura
Located just 2 steps from the train station, super convenient. The room is small, very functional, and quiet. We didn't stay long enough to try the food or chat more with the owner, who was extremely warm, smiling, and always ready to help.

Excellent location and thoughtful service
The location is excellent, right between the JR station and the seafood market by the pier. The shopping street is just next door, with many restaurants and izakayas nearby, making dining and exploring very convenient. At check-in, the staff gave me a very detailed introduction to the surrounding restaurants and hotel facilities. They also kindly received my parcel for me. The service was thoughtful and reliable, and I had a very pleasant stay.

Great location and comfortable stay
It's a great location, close to the bus/train station. It's such a wonderful feeling to arrive into a clean and comfortable room at the end of a 4-day long Kumano Kodo hiking. The shower was excellent and so refreshing and then after we just walked across the street for dinner. The host was very helpful. They held our luggage which was arrived a day before. He gave us the map and recommendation for breakfast & dinner. We had a delicious breakfast at the fish market after watching the tuna auction, which was minutes walk from the hotel. The host also helped us transferring our luggage to Tokyo the day we checked out. We had a wonderful experience staying at Charmant! Will be back!
