Best stay in the Kumano Kodo
This was our fist night stay while walking the Kumano Kodo and the best. Beautiful room with valley views and pouring sunshine. Excellent traditional meal beautifully cooked and presented by our host. Fully recommended

Highly Recommend
After the hard first day trekking from Takajiri Oji it was a blessing to stay the night at this wonderful small homestay. The young couple who run it are delightful and the meals were exceptional. There are only two rooms - each large with their own private en-suite and outside deck (and amazing view). Book early.

Lovely
Lovely location, with big and spotless room and bathroom, right on the Kumano treck. We saw one of the most beautiful sunsets over the rice terrace from our patio. The meals were great and tasty.

Excellent guesthouse
This guesthouse is top notch. The attention to detail is superb and there is nothing we feel they could have done better. The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this guesthouse to anyone travelling through Takahara. We only wish we would have stayed longer.

Our best Accomodation during our three week stay. Stunning location, lovely food ( breakfast and evening meal cooked by the host is 5*- lunch box not so great made by someone else) delightful host. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Beautiful experience
Keyaki is a very special place. It was an amazing place to stay in our first night and one of our top stays. Beautiful family hosts, very peaceful and homely and incredible food.

True bliss and culinary excellence!
The meals are outstanding, and to room feels like a five star stay. Everything you could need, a view and heavenly beds. Keyaki is top notch.
