Beautiful accomodation and a wondeful host
The room was wonderful, the view spectacular, the host very kind and accomodating, and the food (including the lunchbox) was exceptional. I could have stayed there for a week!

Favourite stay
My night at Keyaki was my favourite night on the trail. The room was very comfortable with a private ensuite - not something I encountered a lot on my trip. The food was incredible, best Japanese food I had! Highly recommend!!

Spectacular!
After a hard day's walk I was looking forward to a nice warm bath and some relaxing. Wow ~ was my first impression when checking in. The accomodations simply blew my mind and I couldn't believe the views I had from my room. Not only was my host a delight but the food he cooked was out of this world delicious and easily the best meals I had experienced in Japan.

Amazing Views & Hospitality
We both absolutely loved Keyaki, about 500m past Takahara. Delightful room, wonderful memories sitting on the balcony enjoying a beer and absorbing the magnificent views across Takahara village, the valley and the mountains beyond. Meals were exceptional, including the organic packed lunch. Mahito-San and his family were extremely cordial and friendly hosts. So glad that we started Kumano Kudo with a short 4 km hike on the first day and stayed here, 500m past Takahara (which gave us a head start on day 2). Thank you.
