Koguchi Shizen-no-Ie
A truly unique place but we don't want to spoil too much so future travelers can be surprised! It feels like being in an international hippie spot right in the heart of remote Japan. Simply awesome. The hosts are warm and welcoming, always happy to chat with guests. The meals were delicious and generous.

This is more of a hostel than a hotel. There is a campground at the entrance of the hotel. My wife was freaked out because she saw bugs on the floor of the room we were staying in. Because of the insects she was afraid to sleep on the floor of the room in the prepared mattress to sleep on.

Die Unterkunft erinnert ein bisschern an eine Jugendherberge. Die Zimmer liegen total schön am Fluss. Es gibt einen Trockeraum (wichtig nach dem Wandern in strömenden Regen ; ), Waschmaschine (umsonst!) & Trockner (100 Yen) – perfekt! Das Essen war in einem großen Aufenthaltsraum. Schön um auch in Kontakt mit anderen Pilgern zu kommen. Das Essen war total lecker: Sush, Tempura, ...und sehr liebevoll zubereitet vom ganz ferundlichen Personal. Es gab morgens auch " Brot, Müsli … "

Awesome guest house
Great relaxed vibe in this guest house. Everything super clean and tidy, cool environment as nearly all guests are fellow hikers
