Great Guide for the 1st Day
Hiro guided us from Takijiri to Takahara on our first day, and he was exactly the guide we hoped for. Amiable and knowledgeable without being too talkative, he shared what mattered and let the trail do the rest. He's agile and keeps a quick pace, which suited us perfectly. A great start to the Kumano Kodo

Lovely Friendly Guide
We had a lovely relaxed couple of days with Keiji. Super helpful and friendly as and very knowledgeable. He looked after us very well.

Keiji (2days)
Very good English. The best of our four guides. Had the most free flowing and natural of conversations. Learned a lot. Stayed at the same guesthouse as us. So kind, so helpful. Got much needed cold medicine for one of us by talking with the store owner (she had it, but it wasn't out on the shelves!). Made sure we made it all the way to Hotel Urashima, and helped us navigate the ticket machine in Katsuura station :).
