A Clean and Convenient Stay on the Kumano Kodo
Minpaku Kodo is a simple Japanese-style B&B that offers exactly what you would expect from this type of accommodation: a clean, tidy, and comfortable place to rest after a day walking the Kumano Kodo. The property is well maintained, clean, and orderly, making it a pleasant and practical place to spend the night. It is a straightforward accommodation without particular luxuries, but it provides what a pilgrim needs for a comfortable stay. There is no onsen at the property, which is worth keeping in mind if a traditional hot bath is an important part of your Kumano Kodo experience. However, I appreciated the self-service system for purchasing food and drinks, which is convenient for hikers who want to have something available without having to leave the accommodation. The real strength of Minpaku Kodo is undoubtedly its location. It is very conveniently situated for visiting Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine and the spectacular Nachi Waterfall, two of the most important highlights of this section of the Kumano Kodo. For pilgrims who want to explore these iconic places, the location makes the accommodation particularly practical. Overall, Minpaku Kodo is a simple, clean, and convenient B&B, without unnecessary frills but perfectly adequate for a stop along the Kumano Kodo.

Arriving here after the last days of travel and the very nice stays before this place is okay. But it feels a bit upset arriving here. You like to celerbrate the end of travel, but it is just a place to sleep. I new that but it is such a offlocation. You realy feel a bit lost after experince the mystic way and than arrive in this "real" area.

Nice room and house
We had the house for ourselves. Little, yes, but near Nachi Taisha and really ok for staying one night. The fridge is full of food and drinks, if you want them! Thank you!

A very enjoyable evening and excellent value for money
A very warm welcome! The house is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop. The freezer is stocked with ready-to-heat meals—they were really tasty and convenient.

Convenient and cozy if starting/ending Ogumotori Goe
Minpaku kodo is a cozy and comfortable minpaku located close to the start of the Daimon Zaka trailhead. We had enjoyed our stay here: the house was clean, cozy and comfortable, food was available for a small price, and the our host, Nikki-San, was very kind and helpful-- she even drove us down to a nearby Onsen! Only point to note: on windy nights, the house tends to creak a bit. This might disturb your sleep.
