Great stay
We had a lovely stay here. The food was really well done, the host was very accommodating and even did some laundry for us! We had a lovely room with a sitting area and enjoyed the bath.

Amazing!!
This little gem soothed our sore bodies and warmed our hearts. The rooms were private, warm, comfortable and the hosts were absolutely delightful… oh and the food… these people understand hikers appetites. We were very well fed. For those completing the full walk (last leg) stay here you’ll thank yourself.

Fabulous stay
We loved our stay at Momofuku. The welcome was warm and the accomodaton, beds and facilities clean and comfortable. The food was amazing too, perfect after a day's walking. We'll remember our stay as one of the best in Japan.

Is located a few minutes walk from the trailhead. Lovely house. Possible Hide will be closing this guesthouse for a bit while he takes some time for himself to get well. But he was a fantastic host. I am not sure how he keeps such clean house, and cooks such excellent food all by himself - such energy. And the warm sake was delicious.

Very comfortable stay with incredible food!
Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the minshuku is really well-located, clean and spacious. The pyjamas were a really nice touch and so comfortable to wear after a day's hiking. We especially loved the food, it was delicious and prepared with care. Thank you so much for having us and encouraging us to take on the last day's hike to Nachi in the pouring rain!

Great stay in Koguchi
Koguchi is well-known to be a town with little accommodation options and we were glad to be able to book Minshuku Momofuku which is located directly in town couple of minutes walk from the grocery store. After a long hike from Nachi-san to Koguchi, we were just happy to check in to rest our feet. Host Hide-san was very welcoming to his very cosy home, and we were the only guests there. Room was traditional Japanese style but spacious and comfortable, toilet and baths clean. Meals provided were delicious and adequate, we were full.

Great hosts, good food, lots of energy
Very happy hosts who offered to wash our clothes, which was needed, and we were able to hang dry them in the room. They had great energy and good food; the room was large, with a sitting area. It was a very close walk to the next days trailhead which was convenient.

Minshuku Momofuku
Highly recommend to stay in this lovely little village, with a perfect swimming river to freshen up after a long days walk. If you book early enough, you will be lucky enough to stay at this wonderful home stay. We had such a fantastic time thanks to our host. Amazing location, room, host and food! We were even shown how to eat the locally caught crab after we were curious about them... Couldn't recommend more highly! Food was divine!
