Awesome little minshuku!
The host was so kind and such a great cook! The onsen felt great after hiking. Shared bathrooms but it was not an issue for how many people there were. Would highly recommend!

Amazing food
I had a great stay here. After walking all day in the rain, the private onsen was wonderful to relax in. The dinner and breakfast made by the proprietress were amazing!!! I loved it. There were a lot of little dishes with fish and vegetables, including small fish caught in the local river and fried in batter. The proprietress was extremely nice and helpful to get my wet clothes dried and to catch the best bus on the next day. The place is about 1 km from Yunomine onsen. I walked from Hongu and the last bit along the road felt a bit unsafe, but in the end there was hardly any car coming, so it was ok. May be more comfortable to take the bus though.

Nice accommodation and meals. Travel agent or minshuku should inform the exact location of the accommodation. We thought it is at Yunomine onsen and got off at the bus stop there. The minshuku is actually two bus stops further from there. We ended up have to walk on the car road for two bus stops which is quite dangerous.

Highly recommended
Absolute treasure of a guesthouse. The private onsen on the river is amazing.. don’t miss it. Yoko and her husband were relaxed, friendly and had us totally sorted. Thank you so much.

The open air onsen was a highlight
I was able to get up and have the open air onsen to myself for sunrise the morning after my stay. The meals were delicious and the room was quite comfortable.
