Wonderful stay
We’ve had a wonderful stay! Everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I slept 12 hours straight, because the futon felt so good! I was also very happy because they were able to provide a 100% vegan meal for me after requesting and it tasted really good, I didn’t miss a thing. The staff was also very friendly and competent, we’ve had a wonderful time and would love to visit again! Thanks so much for the wonderful time!

Friendly and comfortable
Fantastic to stay close to the temple complex and see the sunrise over the hills. Friendly and accommodating staff.

the little hotel that you can see and hear the Nachi waterdfall!
It’s so close to Nachi Falls that you can hear the waterfall and even see it right from the front of the inn. It’s a small, cozy inn with Japanese-style futon rooms. The futons are very comfortable thanks to the two-layer setup, so you sleep well even on the floor. The shared bathroom has a small onsen, which is perfect for resting your legs after a long day of hiking. The owner takes wonderful care of guests with true Japanese hospitality. The meals seem to be prepared off-site, but they were still good, and all the staff were very attentive. Best of all, there’s free ice cream! I highly recommend the mochi ice cream. I’d love to see more people support hardworking local businesses like this one so they can keep going along the Kumano Kodo. Highly recommend this place!

Convenient and clean, with views of the falls
After wrapping up the final day of hiking, the convenience of walking to the hotel for early check-in, bath, rest and tasty dinner -- not to mention all the free ice cream you could eat -- was a treat. The rooms were fairly basic, though clean. The bath was outstanding. We wish there had been an in-room toilet, though admittedly that comes down to personal preference. Bonus: the bus station was only a short stroll away, allowing for easy onward transit.

Great stay!
Loved everything here! The staff was incredibly sweet and patient and helpful Food was great and there was ice cream all you can eat Plenty of amenities and great onsen
