Our hotel room was clean but small for our family of 4. An adjustment for my children was taking a bath at the outdoor onsen which is next to the hotel itself. A couple of the private onsen can be better maintained. The front office staff were helpful enough - we had to communicated via a translation app. Kaiseki dinner was good. Breakfast selection was limited for people not used to Japanese food choices. Also, we couldn’t understand why the staff insisted we be seated in a windowless room separate from the main dining area. She only relented when we insisted on dining in the main area with window views. We arranged to take the hotel’s shuttle bus to take another public bus to the boat Centre the next day. However, our shuttle dropped us off at a bus stop that was different from what was communicated to us. While we managed to proceed to our next destination, it caused us some hassle. The driver was helpful in calling the hotel to clarify the situation. Another couple (foreign guests) weren’t aware there was such a shuttle service. A simple printout of shuttle bus route and timing given out proactively to foreign guests would have been most useful.

Great service, food, and numerous private outside onsens
Only time we stayed in a hotel and it was fun! Nice room, meals were very good and service top notch. Their 4 private onsens were wonderful, large and beautiful with great landscaping! The area had a good washer/dryer combination machine that was easy to use and much needed.

Grateful for the pick up shuttle! I wished they had a drop off though but the walk to the bus stop wasn’t far and still doable (just trying to minimise unnecessary walking cos like, I’m already gna hike yknow) Room was clean, big and spacious (tatami floor cos we stayed in a Japanese style room). Please use the private bath if you’ve got the chance - it’s just a delight! Food was good for the type of place we were staying in but I did expect it to be slightly better. Sorry, expectations are a bit high :)

Everything perfect!
A great hotel with beautiful private Rotenburo! Very friendly staff! The shop has nice Omiyage. I bought some small pouches. The meals were amazing! It was convenient to have a washing machine near the Onsen.

お風呂がすごい
熊野古道を歩くことがメインなためお宿は抑えめな金額なところにしました。ここはそれほど高価なお宿ではないですが、とにかく風呂がすごい。露天風呂がこんなに広いところは久々でした。サービスもよく、露天風呂に全ての物が揃っていました。周囲に桜が咲いていて立地もとてもよく散歩して歩いても楽しめるところでした。食事は置き食スタイルですが、温かい食事は追加されてどれも美味しかったです。

Very comfortable for Onsen stay
Very elegant dinner and wonderful private Onsen and public Onsen. Because I had to take the early bus, the staff kindly prepared for me a breakfast bento. The location is fine by bus but not much besides the spa.
