Maguro BLDG is a multi-story hostel located near the Katsuura port across from the famous fish market. Around a 5 minutes walk from the Kii-Katsuura station, with restaurants and convenience store nearby, it makes for a good, reasonably priced base to explore the area. There are a diversity of guestrooms some with ensuite toilet and bath. The communal space is popular to meet other guests and prepare simple meals.The owner also has two other accommodations in Katsuura: Why Kumano UNWIND, and Why Kumano, Hostel & Cafe Bar.

FISH STOCK: Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find vegetarian options.
GLUTEN: For those who are not intorelant to gluten or Celiac then choosing Gluten Free "With Miso and Soy Sauce" will increase your options.

MAGURO BLDG by Why Kumano is located ~300 meters from the JR Kii-Katsuura station (~5-minute walk). Exit the station and walk on the main road towards the Katsuura port. Turn right at the T intersection at the end of the road. The accommodation is one block down on the right.
