Minsuku Momofuku was spotless! And the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the boxed lunch.

Review: Great experience, start to finish!

Everything at this charming minshuku was topnotch. The hosts were friendly, charming, and extremely helpful. They even assisted us when we decided to use the luggage shuttle at the last minute! Their homemade wine was fantastic, too! Highly recommended.

Review: Spacious rooms, lovely hosts, delightful food.

It was quite a long walk at the end of the days hiking (about 1.5km) along the road to the Minshuku but very close to where we began from the next day. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and the meals were really excellent. We felt very spoiled and well looked after. Highly recommend.

Review: Convenient location

Mr. Nakazawa met us on the road just after we entered Koguchi and graciously welcomed us to his guesthouse, where we enjoyed a very full dinner complete with home-made wine. Breakfast the next morning was huge. There was no onsen/ hot tub, and the shower was satisfactory. The garden and bonsai tree collection are well worth taking some time to admire. Momofuku's location is perfect, near the end of the first part of the Ukegawa to Nachisan walk and within a couple of minutes of the second leg.

Friendly owner and dinner was fine although the packed lunch the next day was not so good. Very good location for the start of the walk next day.
