We really enjoyed staying in this warm friendly house with excellent food. It was lovely to find our beds had been made while we were having dinner.

Review: Lovely garden.

Kind hosts, who had a lovely garden.
Bath was actually a tub that was filled up with warm water (so no onsen).
Meals were great and big portions. Location was near the trailhead, which is convenient.

Review: Comfy beds in a great guest space

Big guest space - comfortable sitting room and bedroom. Beds were very comfortable. However, the light in the corridor was quite bright and disrupted sleep - we couldn't work out how to turn it off!! Food was good, with sashimi a highlight. Friendly hosts and delicious snacks on arrival! Signposts to accommodation allowed it to be easily found, which was very welcome after a day walking.

Review: Spacious Rooms

This was a small guesthouse with two very spacious rooms. The food was generous. Public wifi was available, if you could connect, so was nice to not automatically be on the phone to 'relax' after the hike.

Host was out by the gate waiting for our arrival and gave us a warm welcome. Rooms was generously sized and extremely comfortable. Meal was generous, well done and homely.

The owner and his wife were very friendly and informative. The minshuku is located very close to the trail head and the host is s Komano Kodo guide so hus advice and tips are useful.
