Review: Exceptional hospitality, beautiful location
The Nakazawas are really lovely people and exceptional hosts. Though I inadvertently arrived earlier than expected, I was welcomed with tea and the offer of a warm bath. What really sets this couple apart, however, is their incredible attention to detail and genuine interest in meeting people. The meals were exquisite: all of the foods made from scratch, lovingly conceived, beautifully presented and in ample portions. Even the bento box was gift-wrapped! But it was the time we spent talking?and often laughing through the language barrier?that left me feeling so warmly about my stay. Rarely have I met hosts so giving of their time and energy and knowledge and so gracious in person.

Review: Such a great place
we were greeted as we walked past (we almost missed it - whoops). The building was really interesting and the garden was beautiful. Our room was great and we had a fantastic view. This was the best food of the four places that we stayed at. The host was very friendly and we a sorry we do not know Japanese.

Review: A friendly family-stay accommodation. What a unforgettable dinner!
The accommodation is like family-stay. The owners are relly polite and friendly: after a long walk you can feel like at your own home. The room was nice and spacious. The bath has only shower (this is the only flaw). But the dinner was unforgettable: i think one of the best meal i ever had in Japan. Tasty, fresh, delicious and real home-made style. I took a picture of the dinner to save it in my memory.

Owners were very friendly and we felt so at home in this family's home. The beddings were very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Even our packed lunch was packed with love and comfort food. A must stay place in Koguchi.

Absolutely amazing service. So kind and helpful. The room was massive and the food was amazing. Best boxed lunch we received on the whole trip. Our laundry was done for us as well which was fantastic! Also the location in the village was within walking distance to a small store and ATM which was so nice for grabbing a few extra snacks for the trail!

Review: Felt like family
The owners are very nice. I actually met the owner on the trail that same day. This was the most comfortable futon in Japan. Great food!
