Review: Lovely hosts and amazing food
This was one of our favourite stops on the Kumano Kodo. The hosts are so friendly and it would be hard to fault the food, it was amazing. Overall a wonderful experience.

Review: Friendly owners, good food, room okay
A homey place in a small village on a river. Owners very accomodating. Privacy not great in the front room. No sheets - only a comforter. Shower/bath okay. Food good and plentiful.

Review: Warm and friendly owner on the trail
The owner of this minshuku, Mr Nakazawa gave me a very warm welcome after 6 hours walking in the cold. He spoke really good English and this was a big bonus. Many foreigner visitors and local Japanese tourist have left glowing reviews of their stay in this minshuku in his guestbook and it was easy to understand why this place was so highly recommended.
The minshuku is situated almost right on the Nakahechi route and it is really convenient for hikers. In the next morning before leaving, the owner thoughtfully and kindly asked if my legs were painful after 5 days on the Kumano Kodo (yes they were!). He promptly encouraged me by saying with a clenched fist - ""Finish it!""
I am glad I did!

Review: This is the place to stay!
A very small lodging but wonderful. The food was superb, as was the packed lunch. Extremely kind, helpful, and friendly. The owner was very knowledgeable about the Kumano Kodo, which I was hiking, and so it was very interesting to talk to him.
