Review: Great Owner, Value Not So Great

The owner is friendly and welcoming and runs one of the few guesthouses in this small village. For the price I paid, I was expecting a more modern and comfortable stay, but there is little incentive for any upgrades given the lack of competition. I did appreciate the free laundry service.

Hide was very welcoming and his place is fantastic, but his cooking…. WOW. Hide served amazing dinner and breakfast.

Hide-san was really kind and funny. The accomodation was really nice as well and well located on the path of the Kumano kodo. I highly recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality here. Our host was very friendly & provided delicious meals.
Great location as easy to walk from end of our day on the Kumano Kodo & the next day we were back on the trail within a few minutes. Thank You.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt completely welcomed and at home here. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the meals were delicious. The perfect place to stay during your Kumano Kodo
