Location is good near the Kodo. The owner is kind and helpful.

Review: Excellent place to stay after a long hike

The highlight no question was the food! The dinner was outstanding…some of the best sashimi we've ever had. The breakfast was equally good. The lunch box was a great added bonus.
The area is so peaceful, and swimming in the nearby river was a great refresh on a hot day.
Our host (the owner) was so friendly, that when it started to rain, he offered for me to take his rain pants! I declined but the offer shows how much he cares.
The one thing I would change….We would rather have proper bed sheets on the pillows and mattress rather than the blue covers provided.

Review: Best Minshuku with awesome host

We had an amazing night, with great beds and a delicious Dinner and breakfast. The traditional Minshuku Momofuku is hosted by a Former Kumano Kodo Guide. He helps you in every Situation and prepares the best meals. Thank you for this amazing experienced.

Review: Sweet spot

Lovely place. The room was a Japanese style room, it was huge, with a separate sitting area. Very comfortable futons. The owner was very nice and the food was good. Shared bathroom with another couple. It was no issue. very close to bus stop.

Review: Best place to stay !

Minshuku Momofuku really is the best place to stay when you are in the Koguchi area (eg. when you hike the Kumano Kodo).
Mr. Nawazaki has made it a warm place where you will always feel welcome and his meals are the best meals we have had so far while in Japan (9 days now).
I know for sure you will enjoy your stay while you're there.
