Noko Noko is a quiet, country private guest house in Nakahechi about 15 minutes drive north of the Takahara settlement. It is a renovated 80-year-old home tastefully designed with both Japanese and western elements. The one-floor structure is fully furnished, spacious, comfortable, with a kitchen. The owner lives in a separate attachment to the home.
Guests can feel at peace with the pastoral satoyama surroundings of the Nurumi-gawa river valley. The owner moved here from Tokyo about 20 years ago to live in the country and grow vegetables. She created Noko Noko as a place where visitors could rest as if in their own home without worrying about the world.
"Noko Noko" translates to mean "taking life easy."
While meal plans are available, the kitchen is free-use for visitors without meals.
This is a private house rental for only one group per night.
Kumano Gallery Guest House Noko Noko is the sister lodging to "
